If you are looking for a real western experience, don’t miss the Ride for the Brand Ranch Rodeo on Saturday, August 6 at Norris Penrose Event Center. Ride for the Brand is one of the largest ranch rodeo sanctioned by the Working Ranch Cowboys Association and features teams of real working cowboys who work all week on their ranches, sorting and moving cattle, starting colts, doctoring and branding calves. You will see teams compete in events like Ranch Bronc Riding, Wild Cow Milking, Stray Gathering and the fan favorite – Trailer Loading. And when the rodeo is over, we’re going to dance in the dirt with live music from Jason Wulf. Gates open at 4 p.m., the Ride for the Brand Ranch Rodeo starts at 6 p.m. and the Dance in the Dirt starts when the rodeo wraps-up at 8 p.m. Learn more at rideforthebrand.org.
